Team Instructors

Bernd Reicheneder
I’ve always been busy and adventurous. Exploring and playing in nature is part of my village culture and upbringing. Sport & fitness became an integral part of my life from childhood on.
I started practicing Shotokan karate seriously, starting in 1989 and active practice lasted for over 20 years, because I loved the deep philosophy and the enhanced techniques of this extremely aesthetic martial art; rising in rank to 2nd Dan.
After completing vocational training as a technical draftsman and successfully completing a Diploma in Sports Science in 2005 and a Magister Artium in Classical Archeology in 2010, I worked in the classic fitness industry and in company sports at Telefonica / O2, Siemens and other companies in Munich and Straubing, Germany.
I specialized more and more in the direction of movement screening, function and movement restoration. During the intensive work with Muscle Function Diagnostics and the Functional Movement Screen, I looked for ways to individually determine the movement and posture problems of my customers through testing and to restore them with targeted mobility, strength and movement training.
After I got to know Vic Verdier, the right hand man of MovNat founder Erwan Le Corre, at a MovNat workshop in Berlin in 2011, I intuitively decided to focus all of my work on MovNat and similar methods for restoring the evolutionary-biological needs of humans to crown my previous work with MovNat. It became clear very quickly. The transfer of knowledge about therapy, restoration and maintenance of the independent and natural health of people. In this area, I am considered a pioneer of Natural Movement in Europe.
I work as a freelancer part of the headquarters of MovNat LLC, MovNat Expert Trainer, Team Instructor, MovNat Online Coach, Aquatics and Combatives Trainer, specialist in Functional Movement Screen, Oxygen Advantage (breathing) and Primal Health Coach (nutrition and lifestyle).
In addition, I work on several projects and companies in the areas of education, personal training, group training, retreats, online formats, guest trainers at congresses, webinars and I am the author of “Paleo Workouts – Das natürliche Bewegungstraining” (BLV 2016) and its New edition “Fit und Gesund mit Natural Movement” (RIVA 2021).

Seth Budai
Seth’s love affair with movement started at a young age, as a kid exploring the back-woods of Middle Tennessee, barefoot and carefree. Fast forward to today, and not much has changed. Seth still seeks adventures. He now finds them in more dynamic environments from city parks to mountaintops. For over a decade Seth has been educating other humans on maximizing their movement potential and challenging the limits of their minds. His training experiences range from fighting competitively in San-Shou kickboxing, powerlifting, diverse martial arts, and breath work practices. Seth has also worked with other fitness professionals in refining their craft and honing their skills.
Early in his career, Seth discovered that most people were experiencing a profound disconnect from the natural world. They lacked the ability to navigate wild spaces safely and joyfully, the way he had as a kid. In 2012, Seth stumbled across the MovNat methodology. He found that it could challenge the most athletic of bodies while also rehabilitating everyday people to move and play with their children and grandchildren again. Seth has made it his personal mission to share MovNat with the world. Since that time, Seth has witnessed countless clients gain mastery over their bodies and experience true freedom in their environments.
Seth is a MovNat Team Instructor, Online Coach, and the founder and CEO of the elemental trainer. He currently resides in the mountains of Western North Carolina with his wife and their Siberian Husky.

Katharina “Kathi” Havlicek
My MovNat journey started in 2016, when a friend recommended me to Sporthalle Wien – a beautiful MovNat licensed facility, which was then about to open in a couple of weeks time. I started there as a trainer after working in Science for 5 years as a Research Assistant and Associate.
My movement background was strongly linked to Natural Movement throughout my life, and attending the MovNat Trainer Certification it felt to me like the connection of missing dots in my understanding of movement, coaching and essential lifestyle adaptations.
Even though I grew up in a city (Vienna, Austria), my family used to spend summer and winter holidays in the countryside, where I roamed the woods most parts of the day. I practised Japanese Martial Arts for over 20 years and started Parkour & Freerunning and training with weights in my late twenties. This combination of Martial Arts, Parkour and Weightlifting covered most Natural Movement Patterns (Ground Movement, Lifting, Carrying, Climbing, Jumping, Balancing, Combative) in a sport specific way. Nowadays, I consciously integrate Natural Movement in my daily life and practise MovNat specifically to keep the foundation, which I built over the last years, strong for as long as I can. In addition, I train some “movement desserts“ – as some people like to call them – such as Handstand, easy going acrobatics, etc.
In 2019, I attended the MovNat Level 3 Certification, and I am the first European woman who passed. Since then, I became a MNOC Coach and MovNat Team Instructor, which enables me to spread my passion of coaching, aiding others to a more healthy lifestyle as well as my fascination about the MovNat method even further.

Alex Schenker
Alex Schenker is the founder of Natural Mobility, a mobile business that integrates his Natural Movement training and manual therapy practices. He creates and shares tutorial videos, offers live and online training, therapeutic treatments, and self-care programs that address and correct inefficiencies in daily life movement habits.
Alex’s background in martial and healing arts dates back to his childhood. This led to a 2 year diploma program in Shiatsu Therapy in 2005 to start his professional career. He discovered “Taijutsu” in 2004, an umbrella term to refer to unarmed combat in classical Japanese martial arts. Taijutsu also includes natural movements like running up vertical surfaces, climbing walls and tree branches, leaping, rolling, stealth movement, and other skills related to escape and evasion, which explains the instant connection he felt with MovNat. Most recently, Alex began training in Hyoho Taisha Ryu Kenjutsu, a 450 year-old living tradition of Japanese swordsmanship. Alex has always put a lot of attention into emphasizing and teaching self-treatment and movement efficiency in his manual therapy practice.
In 2015 Alex was introduced to MovNat and immediately saw the potential of this practice to bridge the gap between his martial and healing arts training. MovNat develops body movement in a similar way as martial arts without the intimidation factor that acts as a barrier of entry for most people. Through Natural Movement, Alex has deeply refined the way he approaches manual therapy and self-treatment.
Alex has taken numerous courses and certifications throughout the last decade, but nothing has impacted him quite as deeply as MovNat. He continues to develop and explore his personal practice, finding things to learn from teachers and students alike.

Ryan McGowan
Ryan McGowan owns Laid-back Fitness in Warwick, RI where he inspires adults to move better and become more adventurous! LbF also offers services for kids, our models for Natural Movement, that include classes, birthday parties, mobile “ninja” parties, and backyard “ninja rigs.”
Ryan played team sports in high school and college before getting into triathlon. While working as an engineer/construction manager, he discovered the Primal Blueprint which led him to MovNat. Inspired by this way of living, combined with a growing disenchantment with the commercial construction industry, Ryan walked away from his career to pursue his passion in 2010!
Shortly after quitting his job, he attended a 1-day MovNat Workshop in Boston, one week before his first Tough Mudder. After utilizing so many newfound techniques on the course, Ryan decided MovNat would be the foundation of his and his clients’ programming. He has since completed dozens of Obstacle Course Races from 5k to 24-hour ultra events and has helped hundreds of his clients complete events of all distances.
Ryan is happily married and has 3 beautiful children. He is also the founder of the Frozen Clam Obstaplunge, the world’s only New Year’s Day Plunge that starts with an obstacle course and ends in the water!

Nate Amado
Hey, humans! I’m Nate. A MovNat Expert Trainer & Team Instructor, Primal Health Coach, Wilderness Scout, BJJ Purple Belt, Gracie Jiu Jitsu Instructor, and much more.
Beyond all the certifications, I’m a student of life with a love for exploration and learning. The spark that ignited this journey was high school wrestling—I won my first match or two, and got my butt handed to me for the rest of the year—it was great.
I became hungry for more, physically and mentally. So I began studying and practicing many different disciplines: Boxing, MMA, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Yoga, Meditation, Capoeira, Art Du Déplacement/Parkour, and La Methode Naturelle to name a few. A path which led me right to MovNat in 2013.
When I found MovNat, I thought, “This is it!” This is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. It was the most complete system I’d found, and I knew it had the potential to change a lot of lives and the world around us.
And when I discovered Gracie Jiu Jitsu in 2015, I had the same experience—the fire was stoked. I dove all in and have been studying/training all day, every day, since. These are my two true passions in life—both highly effective, super fun, and life-changing disciplines.
For the past 8 years, I’ve been taking it one bare foot at a time—integrating and coaching people with all the best methods that I’ve discovered or created, in-person and online, and leading workshops & retreats around the world—growing organically with a community of awesome humans.
My mission is to help men explore, empower, and transform themselves, their tribe, and the world around us for the better.
