MovNat Men’s Crucible Retreat: Arizona

An Immersive Natural Movement® Challenge
March 18, 2022 – March 20, 2022
Get outside your comfort zone as you learn the MovNat curriculum along with additional outdoor skills, knowledge, and values in a challenging format.
Description
Modern men need to reconnect not only with their ancestral health and natural movements, but also with a community of like-minded men. This 3-day retreat is the perfect opportunity to learn and fine-tune your MovNat skills in a natural setting, but also to share this unique experience with other men.
This men-only retreat will be challenging for all the participants, regardless of their age and their level of fitness. Completely immersed in the natural beauty of the Southwest, we will explore the fundamental natural movements that made our ancestors strong, mobile and efficient in any kind of environment. We will also have the opportunity to have enlightening discussions on topics that are relevant to men who don’t always find their role in a modern world where masculinity is not necessarily seen as a virtue.
This 3-day retreat is open to any man over the age of 21, with no required fitness or MovNat-related experience.
Your accommodation and meals will be spartan, your days filled with rewarding challenges and instruction, experienced in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Everyone will be safely pushed outside their comfort zone, while being given ample rest time to really enjoy the time spent with other men sharing the same quest of gaining more physical and mental resilience in their lives.

Meet Your Instructor
Cedric “Vic” Verdier (aka the “Man In Black”) is one of those larger-than-life characters, determined to live life to the full. He has been a sport enthusiast since his early age. As a child, he was introduced to Georges Hebert’s Methode Naturelle by his grandfather, who was a Physical Education Teacher in the French Army at that time. Vic wanted to follow his grandfather’s track and became an officer in the French Navy. Promoted as a second-in-command officer, he had the opportunity to train numerous soldiers in a multitude of topics, including Close Quarter Combat, skydiving, long-range weapon shooting, first aid and explosives. After 10 years of this exhilarating job, Vic came back to the civilian life while keeping his adventurous spirit high. Interested in Martial Arts and fighting techniques since his time in the Army, Vic is a Krav Maga Instructor, a firearm instructor and a trainer for several martial arts, with an extensive practice with athletes in South-East Asia.
Vic has a BSc in Exercise Science and is certified as a Strength Coach (CSCS), a StrongFirst Elite Instructor and as a Trainer for several organizations (IKFF, CrossFit, USA Weightlifting, USA Track & Field, FMS, Z-Health, TacFit, etc). He is a certified Nutritionist (C-ISSN), a certified Wilderness EMT and an Advanced First Aid Instructor Trainer.
