6.2.3. Resolve the Action
If the action is successful (all block attempts were unsuccessful), then the cost of the action is paid and the effects of the successful action take place. If the action is blocked, then any card played to take the action is burned (it is moved to the ash heap) and the blocking minion is locked and enters combat with the acting minion (see Combat, sec. 6.4).

Parenthetical is supposed to be for reminder stuff now.
So treat it like freak drive for squishy vampires.

It's one of those things where it's still "during " the action even though it was blocked, the card could potentially benefit from the parenthetical part.(only it and IT, from Danse, seem to lack it in the cards I use often...)The whole thing is done at roughly the point where you play this. Similar but not the same is the parenthetical "after resolving the action " on forced march. Obviously, more likely to have no combat with FM than
Cats guidance works in this window too.
Unrelated, but it helped me remember to play it if I thought of it as a reacting FD timing.

If the minion is blocked, the resolution of the action is some stuff + lock + combat (as described above in 6.2.3).Kushiel wrote: When is Zephyr played? By its card text, it's after resolution of an unsuccessful action, but (assuming the action is unsuccessful due to being blocked) does that mean it is played before the resulting combat, or after? Unlike Freak Drive, it doesn't contain "play after combat, if any" text, which makes me think that it's played after being blocked but before combat begins.

After resolution means after that (so yes, after combat).
