Mortal with 2 life, 0 strength, 0 bleed. This ally cannot take actions. During a action directed at you, this ally may burn 1 life to get +1 intercept. Burn this ally if he successfully blocks a vampire (no combat occurs).

Basically, can you burn extra life to get more intercept? Even if it burns him?

Example:

Someone plays Entrancement and attempts to steal a Member of the Entourage at one stealth. Member of the Entourage burns a life to get 1 int to block. Entrancement gets another stealth. Can I burn another life to get another intercept, which burns Member of the Entourage causing the action to fail?



Also, if I have Vagabond Mystic, is there a window in above example to add another life?

Member of Entourage can burn 1 life to get +1 intercept once per action ("During X do Y" template).
With a Member of Entourage having 1 life at the beginning of the action, if it burns 1 life to get +1 intercept in this action, it burns (provided it doesn't gain life in between). If the action was sup' Far Mastery, it fizzles (no cost is paid).

If the acting minion plays inf' Crocodile's Tongue, there is a window after burning the life to cancel CT, and before burning a blood for +1 intercept.

Thanks... but why can I only do it once? Wording seems similar to Maris Streck
Camarilla Justicar: Maris can burn a blood to give a blocking minion +1 intercept. She can take a +1 stealth action to allow you to look at and rearrange the top 5 cards of your library.

So if the Member of the Entourage has 3 life (or 4 or 5...) I can't burn more then one life as the stealth is increased?

Wording is slightly different.
Maris' cardtext doesn't involve "During". Therefore, you can use any number of times to get intercept in an action.
"During X do Y" is a template used in several cards that limits the possibilities of doing X to once per X.
Usual examples: Temptation (it only adds 1 counter per Master Phase), Blood Doll (it doesn't work like Minion Tap), sup' Drawing out the Beast doesn't inflict several damage during the press step, ..

Can't burn more than 1 life to get intercept per its cardtext, correct.

Now that you're the new rules guy can we get Maris Streck her special re-ruled to be no longer broken?
