Middle East Protests

I just have to say, the shit going down in the Middle East is amazing. Not sure if I think it's positive or negative. I do like the "people" sticking it to the "man"; however, I'm no longer naive enough to believe that a better leadership will come to fill the vacuum.

In the long run, nothing really is going to change. One corrupt regime will be despoed, and another will take it's place, or will soon become just as bad. I don't have enough of an informed viewpoint to necessarily suggest a better alternative.

Imo, things will change [that is, in countries where they overthrown their leaders]. The people have realized what they can do, in times of despair.

If there's a new government (Egypt, Tunisia), it can't afford to have out-of-price primary needs (vegetables, bread, water, milk, ..). Thus, I hope that this, at least, will be fixed, making things better.
However, the threat of a government that wouldn't be overthrown, due to a strong military support, remains.

Looks likely that the first race of the F1GP season (in Bahrain) is going to be cancelled, as that would likely have been a prominent target for the protests to aim at...

yah but pascal u are forgetting the major problem with them and the ones in italy THEY HAVE MASSIVE EGOS . and the reason we didnt give YOU KNOW WHO bullet cancer when bush jr was in office was because BUSH had his family escorted to their private plane ( an so proving it was an inside job) from florida.

in all fairness , an im not bashing one or the other BUT CHRISTIANS MUSLIMS AND EVERYONE ELSE needs to say SLAG IT and put their egos in the garbage , to work for the better good. in a perfect world this would happen , but in this one EGO RULES SUPREME and we will never win peace in its true form there .
