Crypt Machine ideas
The first version is pretty much just this, with some Deflections, and guns + DBR as the "stealth". Dominate is the only discipline used. This is a deck type I haven't tried before.
Group 2:
(4) Ingrid Russo - DOM for
(4) Thelonius - dom aus thau
(4) Shane Grimald - dom pot ani
(4) Peter Blaine - dom for aus
(4) Ignacio, The Black Priest - dom pot obt
(3) Cameron - dom pot
(2) Samson - dom
(2) Christine Boscacci - dom vic
Group 3:
(4) Katherine Stoddard - dom for
(3) Sister Evelyn - dom aus
(3) Ember Wright - dom aus
(3) Saiz dom - aus
Two questions:
1) this is a pure Sabbat crypt, so Games of Instinct > Bum's Rush. Are there any other Sabbat tricks I should be thinking of?
2) What about a 2nd discipline? Currently there's a good splash of auspex, fortitude and potence I'm not using. I could tweak the crypt to access other 2nd disciplines, and/or make the 2nd discipline more ubiquitous, e.g.
2x Anarch Convert
5x vamps with dom thau
3x vamps with dom
2 vamps with thau
However: are any of these 2nd disciplines really worth including cards for? The only options that seem easy or powerful enough (at inferior, as a splash discipline) are:
Auspex: Aura Reading (not that great, but an easy cycle / no wasted actions)
Fortitude: lunge cards (e.g. Force of Will).
Thaumaturgy: Burst of Sunlight
Pot: Disarm (in which case I'd replace the guns with Sticks, Target Vitals etc).
How do you intend to oust?
Swarm bleed
How do you intend to keep from being ousted?
Buffer of ~20 pool. Anyone bleeding me is at risk of DBR or Deflection.
What do you want your ready region to look like (ie, how many guys are you planning on getting out)?
6+ weenie dominate vampires.
What do you want your average turn to look like?
Early game: bloat to crypt, get guns
Late game: swarm bleed
What's your metagame like? How do your opponents play?
Casual meta: trick decks
Tourney meta: cheese
What problems have you observed with the deck in play?
N/A

-It is hard to evaluate the deck when all I see is the crypt.
-Based on what I see if you don't get ingrid (1 copy per 12 crypt cards) or a dominate skill card (or it gets suddened), the crypt machine doesn't work. I'd include more like 2 copies of her, 1 banjoko, 1 kurt strauss and drop the other 4-caps.
-Games of Instinct is an interesting idea, but restricts your targets. Bum's Rush would likely be better if using DBR.
Be careful when you fight the monsters, lest you become one.

If you do insist in keeping your (inferior, IMO) crypt as you outlined in the OP:
-Re: Sabbat tricks, Hungry Coyote is an important inclusion.
-Re: splashing other disciplines, having enough Fortitude in the crypt for a few surprise Daring the Dawn will serve you well.

If you plan on having many actions ending in DBR sinks, graverobbing is handy. You need to decide if this is an aggro deck for speed or not, as your actions to make pool will get blocked by most predators who can, and you will abruptly be spending pool to get new minions.
I've seen decks like this work ok for 2 vps and then get smashed while running out of steam. If you go super aggro with multiple 1 caps and give up on pool making actions, you can end up with 1-4 capacity vamps with no duplicates and have to push out with effective management, but I've seen it work.
If you want a deck that gets you a small army for free, then defends or votes or bleeds, many law lawfirm style decks do this well.
The thing to note is the weenie dom swarm with or without the DBR stuff makes you clearly a problem for the other 3-4 people at a table. It's hard to bleed for 7 with Keith moody turn 2 without looking like a threat, and its also hard to DBR an 8 cap turn 4 when they block a govern bleed and not become a problem.
So, you can go slow to medium pace and maybe get one oust of your sitting lucky, but the ones I've seen do stupid things are very aggro. Oh, and Inceptor in any deck with 1 caps makes them scary. Convert with enchant, command of the beast and conditioning?
But......
I need to see a list to really help.
I'd reccomend aggro no duplicate crypt, 60-70 cards(70 only if your running ashur tablets because you somehow have other "only forward" decks in your playgroup, such as malk 94/giovanni powerbleed/weenie dementation, etc)

I didn't think there was much point showing a partial library - I was asking whether to splash in a 2nd discipline, and the library would change a lot depending on suggestions.brandonsantacruz wrote: -It is hard to evaluate the deck when all I see is the crypt.
However, I should have mentioned the uneven crypt capacities is beneficial, since I'm thinking of running Agent of Power as well as normal masters. I like using all my trifle 'phases'
The deck core (~50 cards) will be multiples of these:
Dominate (master)
Effective Management (master)
Agent of Power (trifle)
Govern the Unaligned
Scouting Mission
Concealed Weapon
Saturday Night Special
DBR / Target Vitals
That's a decent option. Using 5 caps means it would start slightly slower, but would have better Master flow (I'd drop lots of the Dominate and Agent of Power for Wider View and other stuff).brandonsantacruz wrote: -Based on what I see if you don't get ingrid (1 copy per 12 crypt cards) or a dominate skill card (or it gets suddened), the crypt machine doesn't work. Since I'm running 2 and 3 caps, I'd hope to have plenty of targetsbrandonsantacruz wrote: -Games of Instinct is an interesting idea, but restricts your targets. Bum's Rush would likely be better if using DBR.
Another possibility would be to remove my own 2-caps, and play Scourge of the Enochians to deal with other people's 2-caps.
