A Little History . . .

The Cumberland Games edition of Pokéthulhu is the third and ultimate (in every sense of the word) form of the game, but this game has been around the block a little before it finally came home to rest. Squishy Brain Games published the (very rare) first edition in the summer of 2000, and Dork Storm Press published the well-known second edition in 2001. The second edition added several features, including Over Cold Mountain and John Kovalic's What's-an-RPG? comic featuring his Dork Tower characters.

The current (third) edition is a free game, including the complete content of all previous editions, edited, revised, and expanded with yet-more new material including lots of fan-designed thulhu, the long-awaited Chaos Cards rules (introduced at the first World Pokethulhu Tournament two years ago and finally made public), and more!

• The Dork Storm Site was the first web presence for the game that I know of, and still (literally) the most animated! This is where the 2nd Edition comes from. There's a link for T-Shirt sales, too! Go go go.
• You can peek at the First Edition Cover and learn amusing creepy things at Yog-Sothoth, a Call of Cthulhu site so hip they dig the Pika, too! Testify, my dark brethren. Testify unto the unholy and the marketably cute!
• This spiffy Pokéthulhu Wiki is a growing (and growable) resource at RPG.net.
• My Little Pokenomicon is a private collection of thulhu to amuse and astound.
• Phil Reed's Additional Stuff includes some expansions to the adventure/campaign seeds he wrote for the game, and a souped-up thulhu.
• The Pokéthulhu Name Generator is just so cool I could live there. Really. And as far as I'm concerned every single silly thing it spits out is authorized. That's how cool it is. It's just that freakin' cool.
• A name like Daniel Peace doesn't suggest ancient evil, but he must be a very wicked sorcerer indeed to have conjured up the Interactive Pokénomicon, a fully-illustrated step-by-step guide to identifying the little beasts in the wild.
• The Pokéthulhu Playpen is pretty freakin' cool, too. Fun material, a nice look, a really kind and insightful review (good combo) and, of course, the game's very coolest typo, enshrined.
• The Team Rocket Gym has a TV series episode guide (which needs your help!) and Pokéthulhu Tools, nifty Windows apps for making cultists and thulhu. Rockin'.
• The Self-Proclaimed First Site is another site called "Pokénomicon," and there are house rules, thulhu, and a MIDI file that leaps out at you from nowhere and sucks at your bone marrow.
• Pokéthulhu Live Feed is a mailing list devoted to (get this) a global Pokéthulhu campaign, a lighthearted (and perhaps lightheaded) answer to to WotC's Living Greyhawk^TM and its many relatives. Hook your gaming table into the world.
• The Alternate Record Cards are just part of the evil lurking at this site. There's also a game conversion to the Simply Roleplaying! system.
• The Fragments of G'David includes some house rules and a full-length adventure, ready to play. Note that it may cause insanity in some web browsers.
