Anarch Convert- ability happens
Erlick- Ability happens
Sonja Blue- Ability doesn't happen
Nana- Ability doesn't happen.

Other effects don't apply because they would apply when the card is in play, but it is contested instead.

Anarch convert isn't played, he merely enters play. I have hard time understanding how his ability is an "as played" effect.
I was under impression that cards "being played" mean specifically cards that are played from hand

Then convert should contest a convert if used to change sect? The 2nd convert would become ready in the influence phase of the controller I guess. We can look at Sonja blue for precedent. Sonja gains you 4 pool for as played ability, but never enters play in the first place so it shouldn't matter if the new convert actually enters (would enter) play.

The crypt cards usually say as enters play. Again see Sonja blue rulings where as enters play triggers but never enters play.
