mmm, i didn't take in account how the initial question is worded.

logic is : when you resolve feline saboteur, one card from hand and top 4 cards are discarded at once. Then the hand goes back to normal size.
( thus there is no way the target can take in hand the top 3 cards you just peeked with, say, steam tunnels)

which was : all the discard effect take place BEFORE the replacement card is drawn.

Am I understanding this correctly ?

Discard card from hand and burn cards from deck before replacing the missing card in the hand.
