V:TES Board Game
Thin_Blood wrote: From a business mindset why not make the game as a "loss leader". Seriously.... break 100% even. Kickstart as suggested previously and Seriously make no profit. Put all funds into manufacturing and marketing. Just get people back in the game where the boxed set is a very playable set. Just basic card concepts. Make your money in the variety which comes in other "sets" like Lost Kindred. As a print... unplayable alone.
Not unthinkable, but netting resources and such isn't a bad thing. I'd say such an endeavor isn't a great play at next core set launch, but could be viable for acquisition later.

I really shouldn't be posting tired on sunday evenings, but...LivesByProxy wrote: Alternatively, they could make a card/board game that takes the best parts of VTES, some iconic cards, the pred-prey system, combat, etc. and produce a cleaner, more polished, non-compatible version of the card game that gives players the core experience in the form of a board game.
Jesus, everyone already knows that's your ambition.
You are more than entitled to your ambition, and please (PLEASE!) actually make and design that (other) game. I'd love to read to whole rulebook (even in beta) and take a look at the card pool. It sounds really interesting. But it's getting (just a little) tiresome to read about it in your every third post (especially in threads that aren't really about it).
Not trying to pick a fight here, just saying.
