I think if you include a benefit for the controller of the ally, you have the potential to wallpaper this card unless you get a HUGE benefit for yourself. So here is a version without the 'help the victim' angle...

thanks for adjutment... i really like it.
on the oth4r hand i will still keep that option for 'slave market fetch' if possible. as you mentioned it's pretty much worthless option, but sometimes you find yourself without any master in hand and you might find it beneficial to have 'few ascendances' at the table...

If you really want Slave Auction to be more worthwhile for him, then going for something like:

...would probably be more worthwhile. Though then you might want to lose the untap phase text, or tweak the cost.
