Statistically speaking, top seed players are significantly more likely to win the finals than the other 4 players at the table. This doesn't have much to do with some magical deep level of understanding of V:TES.

For any player capable enough of making the finals in top seed in a relaively large tournament picking the optimal seating is trivial, provided you know what the other four people are playing (as is almost invariably the case).

*Getting* to the finals in top seed is what takes skill, with a good amount of seating luck mixed in as well.

Clearly your right, what was I thinking. Every final Iv been in have played it self, nothing to do when you first got there. The players all know the out come before hand, and can do nothing to change that. My mistake.

Having been in a lot of finals in a lot of different places I can say this - don't sit behind Randy.
And when you remember to not sit behind Randy don't accidentally sit behind Randy.
