Spoils of War - playable?

Is Spoils of War playable at all? I mean in competitive play, not in your durdle heap. I think not.

If I don't block he'll gain a pool and a blood (and risk the possibility of +2 bleed from Iron Glare/Aire of Elation).
If I do block I end up in torpor.

Yes, I agree it is interesting, although I find it hard to find the card slots in a bruise-bleeder. You need those slots for payload or the combat cards to ensure that torporization.

You can use that new bleed card that gives you +1 strength if your blocked with CEL minions and lots of additional strikes. Then you don't need that much combat cards.

Spoils of War is a good card to keep in a Storage Annex. Bring it out when you know you'll get a few bleeds through.
